Philosophy Matters Online Resources

Inspire your students to think critically, solve problems and explore philosophical concepts with our Philosophy Matters curriculum.  Consisting of over 170 sequenced lesson plans this curriculum guides students as they develop effective reasoning and critical thinking skills through an inquiry-based pedagogy.  

This developmental curriculum is suitable for Secondary students in Years 7-12 and provides Philosophical Inquiry (PI) lessons once a week, for one hour each session. All supporting resources, classroom materials and assessment tasks are included in the curriculum.

Philosophy Matters Subscription

Who is eligible to subscribe to Philosophy Matters?

Philosophy Matters subscription is available for schools interested in teaching Philosophical Inquiry (PI). It is recommended that prior to teaching PI, teachers complete a two-day Introductory Philosophical Inquiry course through Philosophy matters (or equivalent).

How long does a subscription last?

Subscriptions are available from 1 July or 1 January each year and last for 12 months. They can be renewed annually for a small fee.
